Policies & Procedures

Services Offered
Selah Therapy Collective provides:

  • Individual therapy (telehealth within North Carolina, South Carolina, & Virginia)

Availability and current offerings may shift seasonally. Please contact us with questions about scheduling or fit.
 

Scheduling & Appointments 
Appointments are scheduled in advance. Consistency supports therapy outcomes, and we encourage clients to maintain a regular session schedule whenever possible.
If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible.
Cancellation / No-Show Policy
We understand that life happens. At the same time, appointment times are reserved specifically for you.

  • Cancellations with at least 24 hours notice will not be charged.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours, late cancellations, or no-shows may be charged the full session fee.

If there is an emergency or unexpected situation, please reach out—these circumstances are handled with care and discretion.

Fees & Payment
Selah Therapy Collective accepts select insurance plans, self-pay, and participates in select EAP programs.
Card on File Policy
For ease and consistency, all clients are required to keep a credit/debit card on file. Your card will only be charged for session fees (if applicable) or in accordance with the cancellation/no-show policy.
Self-Pay Rates 

  • Initial Session (60 minutes): $150

  • Individual Session (53–55 minutes): $135

Payment is due at the time of service.

Insurance + EAP + Superbills
If using insurance or an EAP, benefits vary by plan and eligibility. Coverage will be verified prior to your first session when possible.
For clients who prefer not to use insurance or are out-of-network, superbills are available upon request for to submit for possible reimbursement through your insurance provider.

Paperwork & Forms
All intake paperwork must be completed prior to the first session. This may include informed consent, HIPAA acknowledgment, telehealth consent (if applicable), and payment policies.

Communication Between Session:
Selah Therapy Collective is not able to provide crisis services or 24/7 support.
You are welcome to contact us for:

  • scheduling questions

  • billing questions

  • brief updates relevant to care

To protect privacy and boundaries, therapeutic content and crisis support are best addressed during sessions.
Response time: Messages are typically returned within 1–2 business days, excluding evenings, weekends, and holidays.
 
Crisis / Emergency Support:
Selah Therapy Collective is not an emergency service.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call:

  • 911, or go to your nearest emergency room

  • 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline – call/text/chat)

If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Telehealth Policy 
Telehealth sessions are provided through a HIPAA-compliant platform. Clients are responsible for:

  • having a private space for sessions

  • reliable internet connection

  • using headphones when possible for privacy

Telehealth services may not be appropriate for all clinical needs and may be adjusted based on safety and appropriateness.
 
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a foundational part of therapy. Information shared in session is kept private, except in limited circumstances required by law and ethics, including but not limited to:

  • suspected abuse/neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult

  • risk of serious harm to self or others

  • court orders/subpoenas (as applicable)

Your privacy is respected and protected to the fullest extent possible.

Records & Documentation
Clinical documentation is maintained according to professional standards and legal requirements. Clients may request records in writing, and requests are handled in accordance with state laws and ethical guidelines.
Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
If you are paying privately and not using insurance, you may be eligible for a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. This can be provided upon request.

Right to End Services:
Clients may end therapy at any time. If you choose to discontinue services, we encourage a closing session when possible to support a thoughtful transition.
Selah Therapy Collective also reserves the right to end services when clinically appropriate, including cases involving safety concerns, inability to attend consistently, non-payment, or if another provider/service would better meet your needs. When possible, appropriate referrals will be provided.
